We invite you to enjoy the spirit of Byers’ Choice in Bucks County, PA, where each Caroler is still handcrafted just as Joyce began at her kitchen table.
Today, our workshop is buzzing with activity as dozens of skilled artisans handcraft every Caroler by hand. Visit us to enjoy a peek behind the scenes and explore festive exhibits, beautiful formal gardens, and a one-of-a-kind gift shop experience.
The Christmas Museum
A special treat for Christmas enthusiasts is a trip to the Byers’ Choice Christmas Museum. Start with a short film about our company's history inside a Victorian theater. Next walk down a cobblestone street scene straight out of Dickens’ London and peer through the windows of shops and homes filled with Christmas displays.
The Gift Shop
The Byers’ Choice Gift Shop has the widest variety of Caroler figurines to be seen in-person including unique finds and one of a kind designs. In addition to all of the Byers’ Choice products, we have a great selection of Christmas treasures — handpicked by Joyce. You’ll find a great selection of fancy foods, jewelery, seasonal decor and specialty gifts!
Formal Gardens
While it is always Christmas inside, the spring and summer months are the perfect time to stroll the Byers' Choice Formal Gardens. The manicured lawns surrounding the Gift Shop & Christmas Museum are filled with botanical beauty. Sculptures from local and nationally-renowned artists combine with the flowering rose bushes, annual blossoms and blooming trees to create a different kind of paradise.
The Créche Collection
The nativity is a special sight at Christmas around the globe as it is a reminder of the first Christmas. Our Créche Collection has more than 200 crèches, or nativities, from around the world. The crèches vary in size, details and style but they are all amazing in their own special way! The highlight of the collection is an antique 18th century Italian presepio on display year round.

Carolers Being Made
Peer into the heart of our workshop and watch as talented artisans sculpt, paint and dress each Caroler by hand offering a rare, close-up glimpse into the craft and care that brings each figure to life. From time to time, you might even catch Joyce lending a hand on the production floor.
Visitor Center FAQ
The Byers’ Choice Visitor Center is located in Chalfont, Pennsylvania. About an hour north of Philadelphia in beautiful Bucks County.
Guests can explore the Christmas Museum, stroll through the formal gardens, watch Carolers being handcrafted on the production floor, browse our curated Gift Shop, and enjoy our short film in the St. James Theatre.
NOTE: Our Artisans in Production are not available for viewing from our Observation deck Friday through Sunday.
Yes, we offer free onsite parking, including space for buses and larger vehicles.
September - December: Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m.
January, April - August: Tuesday through Saturday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Closed Sunday and Monday.
February - March: CLOSED for Spring Cleaning!

Yes! We often host seasonal promotions, artist signings, and themed events throughout the year. Follow us on social media or sign up for our newsletter to stay in the loop.
Items purchased on our website cannot be directly returned or exchanged at the Emporium Gift Shop. However, you’re welcome to drop off your item in person, and our staff will ensure it’s sent to the appropriate department for processing your refund.
